Sinopsis
Hace varios cientos de años, los humanos fueron casi exterminados por los titanes. Los titanes suelen tener varios pisos de altura, parecen carecer de inteligencia, devoran a los seres humanos y, lo peor de todo, parecen hacerlo por placer y no como fuente de alimento. Un pequeño porcentaje de la humanidad sobrevivió amurallándose en una ciudad protegida por muros altísimos, incluso más altos que el mayor de los titanes. En la actualidad, la ciudad no ha visto un titán en más de 100 años. El adolescente Eren y su hermana adoptiva Mikasa son testigos de algo horrible: un titán colosal que aparece de la nada destruye las murallas de la ciudad. Mientras los titanes más pequeños inundan la ciudad, los dos niños contemplan horrorizados cómo su madre es devorada viva.
