Sinopsis
El emperador Pilaf tiene por fin en sus manos, tras años de búsqueda, las Bolas de Dragón de la Estrella Negra, de las que se dice que son el doble de poderosas que las normales de la Tierra. Pilaf está a punto de pedir su deseo de dominar el mundo cuando es interrumpido por Gokuu Son. Como resultado, Pilaf pierde su deseo y convierte accidentalmente a Gokuu en un niño. Una vez concedido el deseo, las Bolas de Dragón de la Estrella Negra se dispersan por toda la galaxia. Sin embargo, Gokuu descubre que provocarán la explosión de la Tierra a menos que las traigan de vuelta en el plazo de un año. Uniéndose a su nieta Pan y a un joven adulto Trunks, Gokuu emprende una aventura por el universo para encontrar las Bolas de Dragón de la Estrella Negra y salvar su planeta de la destrucción.
